2024-03-04upstream: Separate parsing of string array options from applying themdjm@openbsd.org
to the active configuration. This fixes the config parser from erroneously rejecting cases like: AuthenticationMethods password Match User ivy AuthenticationMethods any bz3657 ok markus@ OpenBSD-Commit-ID: 7f196cba634c2a3dba115f3fac3c4635a2199491
2023-10-12upstream: add ChannelTimeout support to the client, mirroring thedjm@openbsd.org

2023-08-28upstream: Add keystroke timing obfuscation to the client.djm@openbsd.org
This attempts to hide inter-keystroke timings by sending interactive traffic at fixed intervals (default: every 20ms) when there is only a small amount of data being sent. It also sends fake "chaff" keystrokes for a random interval after the last real keystroke. These are controlled by a new ssh_config ObscureKeystrokeTiming keyword/ feedback/ok markus@ OpenBSD-Commit-ID: 02231ddd4f442212820976068c34a36e3c1b15be
2023-08-18upstream: fix regression in OpenSSH 9.4 (mux.c r1.99) that causeddjm@openbsd.org

2023-07-20upstream: Ensure FIDO/PKCS11 libraries contain expected symbolsdjm@openbsd.org
This checks via nlist(3) that candidate provider libraries contain one of the symbols that we will require prior to dlopen(), which can cause a number of side effects, including execution of constructors. Feedback deraadt; ok markus OpenBSD-Commit-ID: 1508a5fbd74e329e69a55b56c453c292029aefbe
2023-03-03upstream: Use time_t for x11_refuse_time timeout. We needdtucker@openbsd.org
SSH_TIME_T_MAX for this, so move from misc.c to misc.h so it's available. Fixes a Coverity warning for 64bit time_t safety, ok djm@ OpenBSD-Commit-ID: c69c4c3152cdaab953706db4ccf4d5fd682f7d8d
2023-01-06upstream: add ptimeout API for keeping track of poll/ppolldjm@openbsd.org

2022-06-03upstream: Make SetEnv directives first-match-wins in bothdjm@openbsd.org
sshd_config and sshd_config; previously if the same name was reused then the last would win (which is the opposite to how the config is supposed to work). While there, make the ssh_config parsing more like sshd_config. bz3438, ok dtucker OpenBSD-Commit-ID: 797909c1e0262c0d00e09280459d7ab00f18273b

2021-06-08upstream: Allow argv_split() to optionally terminate tokenisationdjm@openbsd.org
when it encounters an unquoted comment. Add some additional utility function for working with argument vectors, since we'll be switching to using them to parse ssh/sshd_config shortly. ok markus@ as part of a larger diff; tested in snaps OpenBSD-Commit-ID: fd9c108cef2f713f24e3bc5848861d221bb3a1ac
2021-06-04upstream: allow ssh_config SetEnv to override $TERM, which is otherwisedjm@openbsd.org

2021-01-11upstream: Change convtime() from returning long to returning int.dtucker@openbsd.org
On platforms where sizeof(int) != sizeof(long), convtime could accept values >MAX_INT which subsequently truncate when stored in an int during config parsing. bz#3250, ok djm@ OpenBSD-Commit-ID: 8fc932683d6b4660d52f50911d62bd6639c5db31
2020-12-22upstream: move subprocess() from auth.c to misc.cdjm@openbsd.org
make privilege dropping optional but allow it via callbacks (to avoid need to link uidswap.c everywhere) add some other flags (keep environment, disable strict path safety check) that make this more useful for client-side use. feedback & ok markus@ OpenBSD-Commit-ID: a80ea9fdcc156f1a18e9c166122c759fae1637bf
2020-11-27upstream: Set the specified TOS/DSCP for interactive use prior todjm@openbsd.org
TCP connect. The connection phase of the SSH session is time-sensitive (due to server side login grace periods) and is frequently interactive (e.g. entering passwords). The ultimate interactive/bulk TOS/DSCP will be set after authentication completes. ok dtucker@ OpenBSD-Commit-ID: f31ab10d9233363a6d2c9996007083ba43a093f1

2020-05-29upstream: Allow some keywords to expand shell-style ${ENV}dtucker@openbsd.org
environment variables on the client side. The supported keywords are CertificateFile, ControlPath, IdentityAgent and IdentityFile, plus LocalForward and RemoteForward when used for Unix domain socket paths. This would for example allow forwarding of Unix domain socket paths that change at runtime. bz#3140, ok djm@ OpenBSD-Commit-ID: a4a2e801fc2d4df2fe0e58f50d9c81b03822dffa

2020-01-23upstream: Replace all calls to signal(2) with a wrapper arounddtucker@openbsd.org

2019-01-24upstream: Remove support for obsolete host/port syntax.dtucker@openbsd.org
host/port was added in 2001 as an alternative to host:port syntax for the benefit of IPv6 users. These days there are establised standards for this like [::1]:22 and the slash syntax is easily mistaken for CIDR notation, which OpenSSH now supports for some things. Remove the slash notation from ListenAddress and PermitOpen. bz#2335, patch from jjelen at redhat.com, ok markus@ OpenBSD-Commit-ID: fae5f4e23c51a368d6b2d98376069ac2b10ad4b7
2018-12-27upstream: move client/server SSH-* banners to buffers underdjm@openbsd.org
ssh->kex and factor out the banner exchange. This eliminates some common code from the client and server. Also be more strict about handling \r characters - these should only be accepted immediately before \n (pointed out by Jann Horn). Inspired by a patch from Markus Schmidt. 2018-12-27upstream: Fix calculation of initial bandwidth limits. Account fordtucker@openbsd.org
written bytes before the initial timer check so that the first buffer written is accounted. Set the threshold after which the timer is checked such that the limit starts being computed as soon as possible, ie after the second buffer is written. This prevents an initial burst of traffic and provides a more accurate bandwidth limit. bz#2927, ok djm. OpenBSD-Commit-ID: ff3ef76e4e43040ec198c2718d5682c36b255cb6

2018-07-31upstream: Remove uid checks from low port binds. Now that sshdtucker@openbsd.org

Add monotime_ts and monotime_tv that return monotonic timespec and timeval respectively.
