2020-03-06drm/gma500/intel_bios.h: Replace zero-length array with flexible-array memberGustavo A. R. Silva
The current codebase makes use of the zero-length array language extension to the C90 standard, but the preferred mechanism to declare variable-length types such as these ones is a flexible array member[1][2], introduced in C99: struct foo { int stuff; struct boo array[]; }; By making use of the mechanism above, we will get a compiler warning in case the flexible array does not occur last in the structure, which will help us prevent some kind of undefined behavior bugs from being inadvertently introduced[3] to the codebase from now on. Also, notice that, dynamic memory allocations won't be affected by this change: "Flexible array members have incomplete type, and so the sizeof operator may not be applied. As a quirk of the original implementation of zero-length arrays, sizeof evaluates to zero."[1] This issue was found with the help of Coccinelle. 2019-05-22drm/gma500: drop drmP.h from header filesSam Ravnborg
Drop use of drmp.h from all header files in drm/gma500. Fix fallout in all files. In some cases moved include lines and sorted them too. With drmP.h removed from all header files it can now be removed from each .c file without any further dependencies Signed-off-by: Sam Ravnborg <sam@ravnborg.org> Cc: Patrik Jakobsson <patrik.r.jakobsson@gmail.com> Cc: David Airlie <airlied@linux.ie> Cc: Daniel Vetter <daniel@ffwll.ch> Acked-by: Daniel Vetter <daniel.vetter@ffwll.ch> Signed-off-by: Patrik Jakobsson <patrik.r.jakobsson@gmail.com> Link: https://patchwork.freedesktop.org/patch/msgid/20190519195526.3422-3-sam@ravnborg.org

2012-08-24gma500/cdv: Add eDP supportZhao Yakui
Introduce the eDP support into the driver. This has been reworked a bit because kernel driver proper uses encoder/connectors while the legacy Intel driver uses the old output stuff. It also diverges on the backlight handling. The legacy Intel driver adds a panel abstraction based upon the i915 one. It's only really used for backlight bits and we have a perfectly good backlight abstraction which can extend instead. 2012-06-27drm/i915/bios: cleanup return type of intel_parse_bios()Dan Carpenter
These are unintuitive. These are type bool and return -1 casted to true on failure. Let's just make it return an int. The callers don't care, but let's change this as a cleanup. 2012-04-27gma500: intel_bios updatesAlan Cox
Pull in various i915 bits that we will need to begin tackling the LVDS detect and ACPI events. We try and drift towards the i915 version of the code with the long term goal that at least some of it can one day be unified. 2012-04-27gma500: read the PLL bitsAlan Cox
We need to pull more stuff from the VBT in order to configure the clocking correctly in all cases. Add the relevant bits from the other CDV driver work. Signed-off-by: Alan Cox <alan@linux.intel.com> Signed-off-by: Dave Airlie <airlied@redhat.com>
2011-11-16gma500: Add the glue to the various BIOS and firmware interfacesAlan Cox
Some of this should one day become a library shared by i915 and gma500 I suspct. Best however to deal with that later once it is all nice and stably merged. Signed-off-by: Alan Cox <alan@linux.intel.com> Signed-off-by: Dave Airlie <airlied@redhat.com>
