2020-09-17drm, iommu: Change type of pasid to u32Fenghua Yu
PASID is defined as a few different types in iommu including "int", "u32", and "unsigned int". To be consistent and to match with uapi definitions, define PASID and its variations (e.g. max PASID) as "u32". "u32" is also shorter and a little more explicit than "unsigned int". No PASID type change in uapi although it defines PASID as __u64 in some places. 2019-12-05drm/amdkfd: Eliminate unnecessary kernel queue function pointersYong Zhao
Up to this point, those functions are all the same for all ASICs, so no need to call them by functions pointers. Removing the function pointers will greatly increase the code readablity. If there is ever need for those function pointers, we can add it back then. 2019-11-13drm/amdkfd: Avoid using doorbell_off as offset in process doorbell pagesYong Zhao
dorbell_off in the queue properties is mainly used for the doorbell dw offset in pci bar. We should not set it to the doorbell byte offset in process doorbell pages. This makes the code much easier to read. Signed-off-by: Yong Zhao <Yong.Zhao@amd.com> Reviewed-by: Felix Kuehling <Felix.Kuehling@amd.com> Signed-off-by: Alex Deucher <alexander.deucher@amd.com>
2019-10-03drm/amdkfd: Eliminate get_atc_vmid_pasid_mapping_validYong Zhao
get_atc_vmid_pasid_mapping_valid() is very similar to get_atc_vmid_pasid_mapping_pasid(), so they can be merged into a new function get_atc_vmid_pasid_mapping_info() to reduce register access times. More importantly, getting the PASID and the valid bit atomically with a single read fixes some potential race conditions where the mapping changes between the two reads. 2019-10-03drm/amdkfd: Use hex print format for pasidYong Zhao
Since KFD pasid starts from 0x8000 (32768 in decimal), it is better perceived as a hex number. Meanwhile, change the pasid type from unsigned int to uint16_t to be consistent throughout the code. 2017-08-15drm/amdkfd: Handle remaining BUG_ONs more gracefully v2Felix Kuehling
In most cases, BUG_ONs can be replaced with WARN_ON with an error return. In some void functions just turn them into a WARN_ON and possibly an early exit. v2: * Cleaned up error handling in pm_send_unmap_queue * Removed redundant WARN_ON in kfd_process_destroy_delayed Signed-off-by: Felix Kuehling <Felix.Kuehling@amd.com> Signed-off-by: Oded Gabbay <oded.gabbay@gmail.com>
2017-08-15drm/amdkfd: Remove BUG_ONs for NULL pointer argumentsFelix Kuehling
Remove BUG_ONs that check for NULL pointer arguments that are dereferenced in the same function. 2017-08-15drm/amdkfd: Consolidate and clean up log commandsKent Russell
Consolidate log commands so that dev_info(NULL, "Error...") uses the more accurate pr_err, remove the module name from the log (can be seen via dynamic debugging with +m), and the function name (can be seen via dynamic debugging with +f). We also don't need debug messages saying what function we're in. Those can be added by devs when needed Don't print vendor and device ID in error messages. They are typically the same for all GPUs in a multi-GPU system. So this doesn't add any value to the message. Lastly, remove parentheses around %d, %i and 0x%llX. According to kernel.org: "Printing numbers in parentheses (%d) adds no value and should be avoided." 2015-06-06drm/amdkfd: avoid CONFIG_ prefix for non-Kconfig symbolsValentin Rothberg
The CONFIG_ prefix is reserved for Kconfig options in Make and CPP syntax. Various static analysis tools rely on this naming convention and check if CONFIG_ prefixed symbols are defined Kconfig. Hence add yet another prefix AMD_ to CONFIG_REG_{BASE,END,SISE} to apply to this convention and make static analysis tools happy. 2015-06-03drm/amdkfd: Enforce kill all waves on process terminationBen Goz
This commit makes sure that on process termination, after we're destroying all the active queues, we're killing all the existing wave front of the current process. By doing this we're making sure that if any of the CUs were blocked by infinite loop we're enforcing it to end the shader explicitly.
