2018-12-17xtensa: enable CORE_DUMP_USE_REGSETMax Filippov
Drop xtensa_elf_core_copy_regs function, ELF_CORE_COPY_REGS macro, and dump_fpu function. Define CORE_DUMP_USE_REGSET to make ELF core dumper use regset interface. Signed-off-by: Max Filippov <jcmvbkbc@gmail.com>
2018-12-17xtensa: implement task_user_regset_viewMax Filippov
- define struct user_pt_regs in the arch/xtensa/include/uapi/asm/ptrace.h with the same layout as xtensa_gregset_t; make xtensa_gregset_t a typedef; - define REGSET_GPR regset, implement register get and set functions; - define task_user_regset_view function and expose REGSET_GPR. 2018-12-17Move EM_XTENSA to uapi/linux/elf-em.hDmitry V. Levin
This should never have been defined in the arch tree to begin with, and now uapi/linux/audit.h header is going to use EM_XTENSA in order to define AUDIT_ARCH_XTENSA which is needed to implement syscall_get_arch() which in turn is required to extend the generic ptrace API with PTRACE_GET_SYSCALL_INFO request. 2018-12-03xtensa: drop unused declarations from elf.hMax Filippov
do_copy_regs, do_restore_regs, do_save_fpregs and do_restore_fpregs are not used or implemented by xtensa, drop these declarations from the arch/xtensa/include/asm/elf.h Signed-off-by: Max Filippov <jcmvbkbc@gmail.com>
2013-02-23xtensa: add support for TLSChris Zankel
The Xtensa architecture provides a global register called THREADPTR for the purpose of Thread Local Storage (TLS) support. This allows us to use a fairly simple implementation, keeping the thread pointer in the regset and simply saving and restoring it upon entering/exiting the from user space. 2012-12-18xtensa: clean up files to make them code-style compliantChris Zankel
Remove heading and trailing spaces, trim trailing lines, and wrap lines that are longer than 80 characters. Signed-off-by: Chris Zankel <chris@zankel.net>
2012-10-06cross-arch: don't corrupt personality flags upon exec()Jiri Kosina
Historically, the top three bytes of personality have been used for things such as ADDR_NO_RANDOMIZE, which made sense only for specific architectures. We now however have a flag there that is general no matter the architecture (UNAME26); generally we have to be careful to preserve the personality flags across exec(). This patch tries to fix all architectures that forcefully overwrite personality flags during exec() (ppc32 and s390 have been fixed recently by commits f9783ec862ea ("[S390] Do not clobber personality flags on exec") and 59e4c3a2fe9c ("powerpc/32: Don't clobber personality flags on exec") in a similar way already). 2010-05-02xtensa: Shuffle include statements to fix linker scriptChris Zankel
The linker script was including assembly macros from the coprocessor header file that is not otherwise used by the script. Signed-off-by: Chris Zankel <chris@zankel.net>
2009-12-16elf: kill USE_ELF_CORE_DUMPChristoph Hellwig
Currently all architectures but microblaze unconditionally define USE_ELF_CORE_DUMP. The microblaze omission seems like an error to me, so let's kill this ifdef and make sure we are the same everywhere. 2008-11-06xtensa: move headers files to arch/xtensa/includeChris Zankel
Move all header files for xtensa to arch/xtensa/include and platform and variant header files to the appropriate arch/xtensa/platforms/ and arch/xtensa/variants/ directories. Moving the files gets also rid of all uses of symlinks in the Makefile. This has been completed already for the majority of the architectures and xtensa is one out of six missing.
