From f9e3e09fdc93be9f0d47afbc6c7df1188c2a5a0d Mon Sep 17 00:00:00 2001 From: Bram Moolenaar Date: Sun, 13 Jan 2019 23:38:42 +0100 Subject: patch 8.1.0743: giving error messages is not flexible Problem: Giving error messages is not flexible. Solution: Add semsg(). Change argument from "char_u *" to "char *", also for msg() and get rid of most MSG macros. (Ozaki Kiichi, closes #3302) Also make emsg() accept a "char *" argument. Get rid of an enormous number of type casts. --- src/structs.h | 6 +++--- 1 file changed, 3 insertions(+), 3 deletions(-) (limited to 'src/structs.h') diff --git a/src/structs.h b/src/structs.h index d573272027..958a5d22e2 100644 --- a/src/structs.h +++ b/src/structs.h @@ -889,8 +889,8 @@ struct condstack */ struct msglist { - char_u *msg; /* original message */ - char_u *throw_msg; /* msg to throw: usually original one */ + char *msg; /* original message */ + char *throw_msg; /* msg to throw: usually original one */ struct msglist *next; /* next of several messages in a row */ }; @@ -912,7 +912,7 @@ typedef struct vim_exception except_T; struct vim_exception { except_type_T type; /* exception type */ - char_u *value; /* exception value */ + char *value; /* exception value */ struct msglist *messages; /* message(s) causing error exception */ char_u *throw_name; /* name of the throw point */ linenr_T throw_lnum; /* line number of the throw point */ -- cgit v1.2.3
