Fixes #8322 The leak-checking (and backtrace option, on some platforms) provided by crypto-mdebug and crypto-mdebug-backtrace have been mostly neutered; only the "make malloc fail" capability remains. OpenSSL recommends using the compiler's leak-detection instead. The OPENSSL_DEBUG_MEMORY environment variable is no longer used. CRYPTO_mem_ctrl(), CRYPTO_set_mem_debug(), CRYPTO_mem_leaks(), CRYPTO_mem_leaks_fp() and CRYPTO_mem_leaks_cb() return a failure code. CRYPTO_mem_debug_{malloc,realloc,free}() have been removed. All of the above are now deprecated. Currently, they have different suffixes like '*_lcl.h', '*_local.h', or '*_int.h' This commit changes the different suffixes to '*_local.h' uniformly. Currently, there are two different directories which contain internal header files of libcrypto which are meant to be shared internally: While header files in 'include/internal' are intended to be shared between libcrypto and libssl, the files in 'crypto/include/internal' are intended to be shared inside libcrypto only. To make things complicated, the include search path is set up in such a way that the directive #include "internal/file.h" could refer to a file in either of these two directoroes. This makes it necessary in some cases to add a '_int.h' suffix to some files to resolve this ambiguity: #include "internal/file.h" # located in 'include/internal' #include "internal/file_int.h" # located in 'crypto/include/internal' This commit moves the private crypto headers from 'crypto/include/internal' to 'include/crypto' As a result, the include directives become unambiguous #include "internal/file.h" # located in 'include/internal' #include "crypto/file.h" # located in 'include/crypto' hence the superfluous '_int.h' suffixes can be stripped. The files 'store_int.h' and 'store.h' need to be treated specially; they are joined into a single file. 2019-09-12util/mkerr.pl: make it not depend on the function codeRichard Levitte
The output C code was made to use ERR_func_error_string() to see if a string table was already loaded or not. Since this function returns NULL always, this check became useless. Change it to use ERR_reason_error_string() instead, as there's no reason to believe we will get rid of reason strings, ever. To top it off, we rebuild all affected C sources. This KDF is almost identical to the the SSKDF hash variant, so it has been implemented inside the SSKDF code with its own method table. 2019-05-08ossl_bsearch(): New generic internal binary search utility functionRichard Levitte
OBJ_bsearch_ and OBJ_bsearch_ex_ are generic functions that don't really belong with the OBJ API, but should rather be generic utility functions. The ending underscore indicates that they are considered internal, even though they are declared publicly. Since crypto/stack/stack.c uses OBJ_bsearch_ex_, the stack API ends up depending on the OBJ API, which is unnecessary, and carries along other dependencies. Therefor, a generic internal function is created, ossl_bsearch(). This removes the unecessary dependencies.
