2019-09-27Reorganize local header filesDr. Matthias St. Pierre
Apart from public and internal header files, there is a third type called local header files, which are located next to source files in the source directory. Currently, they have different suffixes like '*_lcl.h', '*_local.h', or '*_int.h' This commit changes the different suffixes to '*_local.h' uniformly. Reviewed-by: Richard Levitte <levitte@openssl.org> (Merged from https://github.com/openssl/openssl/pull/9681)
2019-09-27Reorganize private crypto header filesDr. Matthias St. Pierre
Currently, there are two different directories which contain internal header files of libcrypto which are meant to be shared internally: While header files in 'include/internal' are intended to be shared between libcrypto and libssl, the files in 'crypto/include/internal' are intended to be shared inside libcrypto only. To make things complicated, the include search path is set up in such a way that the directive #include "internal/file.h" could refer to a file in either of these two directoroes. This makes it necessary in some cases to add a '_int.h' suffix to some files to resolve this ambiguity: #include "internal/file.h" # located in 'include/internal' #include "internal/file_int.h" # located in 'crypto/include/internal' This commit moves the private crypto headers from 'crypto/include/internal' to 'include/crypto' As a result, the include directives become unambiguous #include "internal/file.h" # located in 'include/internal' #include "crypto/file.h" # located in 'include/crypto' hence the superfluous '_int.h' suffixes can be stripped. The files 'store_int.h' and 'store.h' need to be treated specially; they are joined into a single file. 2018-07-31Fix some TLSv1.3 alert issuesMatt Caswell
Ensure that the certificate required alert actually gets sent (and doesn't get translated into handshake failure in TLSv1.3). Ensure that proper reason codes are given for the new TLSv1.3 alerts. Remove an out of date macro for TLS13_AD_END_OF_EARLY_DATA. This is a left over from an earlier TLSv1.3 draft that is no longer used. 2017-06-29Add the STORE moduleRichard Levitte
This STORE module adds the following functionality: - A function OSSL_STORE_open(), OSSL_STORE_load() and OSSL_STORE_close() that accesses a URI and helps loading the supported objects (PKEYs, CERTs and CRLs for the moment) from it. - An opaque type OSSL_STORE_INFO that holds information on each loaded object. - A few functions to retrieve desired data from a OSSL_STORE_INFO reference. - Functions to register and unregister loaders for different URI schemes. This enables dynamic addition of loaders from applications or from engines. Reviewed-by: Matt Caswell <matt@openssl.org> (Merged from https://github.com/openssl/openssl/pull/3542)

2015-10-21Handle CT error macros separatelyRichard Levitte
Because the default error macro generator assumes the header file with error macros is in include/openssl and therefore generates a C file with error texts that include <openssl/{name}.h>, we need to generate the error macros and texts for CT separately, since the CT module doesn't follow the default criteria. 2000-04-04This commit ties the new DSO code (crypto/dso/) into the build for aGeoff Thorpe
variety of platforms. A few are missing, and they will be added in eventually, but as this is new stuff, it was better to not break lots of platforms in one go that we can't easily test. The changes to "Configure" should illustrate how to add support to other systems if you feel like having a go. NB: I'll add something shortly to allow you to add "dlfcn.h" support on those platforms that don't have (or need) a dlfcn.h header file. (The symbol for Configure will probably by "dlfcn_no_h"). Thanks to Richard Levitte, who is responsible for the dso_dl.c support, understanding the trickier aspects of the build process, and giving great feedback on everything else. [Don't use this stuff if you're easily offended by changes to the interface or behaviour - it's still work in progress.] PR:

1999-04-24Complete rewrite of the error code generation script. It now runs as a singleDr. Stephen Henson
script, translates function codes better and doesn't need the K&R function prototypes to work (NB. the K&R prototypes can't be wiped just yet: they are still needed by the DEF generator...). I also ran the script with the -rewrite option to update all the header and source files.
