2019-03-01ipv4: Add ICMPv6 support when parse route ipprotoHangbin Liu
For ip rules, we need to use 'ipproto ipv6-icmp' to match ICMPv6 headers. But for ip -6 route, currently we only support tcp, udp and icmp. 2019-02-28mmc: core: Add discard support to sdAvri Altman
SD spec v5.1 adds discard support. The flows and commands are similar to mmc, so just set the discard arg in CMD38. A host which supports DISCARD shall check if the DISCARD_SUPPORT (b313) is set in the SD_STATUS register. If the card does not support discard, the host shall not issue DISCARD command, but ERASE command instead. Post the DISCARD operation, the card may de-allocate the discarded blocks partially or completely. So the host mustn't make any assumptions concerning the content of the discarded region. This is unlike ERASE command, in which the region is guaranteed to contain either '0's or '1's, depends on the content of DATA_STAT_AFTER_ERASE (b55) in the scr register. One more important difference compared to ERASE is the busy timeout which we will address on the next patch. Current fib_multipath_hash_policy can make hash based on the L3 or L4. But it only work on the outer IP. So a specific tunnel always has the same hash value. But a specific tunnel may contain so many inner connections. This patch provide a generic multipath_hash in floi_common. It can make a user-define hash which can mix with L3 or L4 hash. JITed BPF programs are indistinguishable from kernel functions, but unlike kernel code BPF code can be changed often. Typical approach of "perf record" + "perf report" profiling and tuning of kernel code works just as well for BPF programs, but kernel code doesn't need to be monitored whereas BPF programs do. Users load and run large amount of BPF programs. These BPF stats allow tools monitor the usage of BPF on the server. The monitoring tools will turn sysctl kernel.bpf_stats_enabled on and off for few seconds to sample average cost of the programs. Aggregated data over hours and days will provide an insight into cost of BPF and alarms can trigger in case given program suddenly gets more expensive. The cost of two sched_clock() per program invocation adds ~20 nsec. Fast BPF progs (like selftests/bpf/progs/test_pkt_access.c) will slow down from ~10 nsec to ~30 nsec. static_key minimizes the cost of the stats collection. Add .release_ops, that is called in case of error at a later stage in the expression initialization path, ie. .select_ops() has been already set up operations and that needs to be undone. This allows us to unwind .select_ops from the error path, ie. release the dynamic operations for this extension. Moreover, allocate one single operation instead of recycling them, this comes at the cost of consuming a bit more memory per rule, but it simplifies the infrastructure. Being able to build devlink as a module causes growing pains. First all drivers had to add a meta dependency to make sure they are not built in when devlink is built as a module. The current implementation scales the local alpha and beta variables in the calculate_probability function by the same amount for all values of drop probability below 1%. RFC 8033 suggests using additional cases for auto-tuning alpha and beta when the drop probability is less than 1%. In order to add more auto-tuning cases, MAX_PROB must be scaled by u64 instead of u32 to prevent underflow when scaling the local alpha and beta variables in the calculate_probability function. Using tcf_walker->stop flag to determine when tcf_walker->fn() was called at least once is unreliable. Some classifiers set 'stop' flag on error before calling walker callback, other classifiers used to call it with NULL filter pointer when empty. In order to prevent further regressions, extend tcf_walker structure with dedicated 'nonempty' flag. Set this flag in tcf_walker->fn() implementation that is used to check if classifier has filters configured. 2019-02-25Revert "x86/fault: BUG() when uaccess helpers fault on kernel addresses"Linus Torvalds
This reverts commit 9da3f2b74054406f87dff7101a569217ffceb29b. It was well-intentioned, but wrong. Overriding the exception tables for instructions for random reasons is just wrong, and that is what the new code did. It caused problems for tracing, and it caused problems for strncpy_from_user(), because the new checks made perfectly valid use cases break, rather than catch things that did bad things. Unchecked user space accesses are a problem, but that's not a reason to add invalid checks that then people have to work around with silly flags (in this case, that 'kernel_uaccess_faults_ok' flag, which is just an odd way to say "this commit was wrong" and was sprinked into random places to hide the wrongness). The real fix to unchecked user space accesses is to get rid of the special "let's not check __get_user() and __put_user() at all" logic. Make __{get|put}_user() be just aliases to the regular {get|put}_user() functions, and make it impossible to access user space without having the proper checks in places. The raison d'être of the special double-underscore versions used to be that the range check was expensive, and if you did multiple user accesses, you'd do the range check up front (like the signal frame handling code, for example). But SMAP (on x86) and PAN (on ARM) have made that optimization pointless, because the _real_ expense is the "set CPU flag to allow user space access". 2019-02-25mmc: slot-gpio: Remove override_active_level on WPLinus Walleij
The argument "override_active_level" made it possible to enforce a specific polarity on the write-protect GPIO line. All callers in the kernel pass "false" to this call after I have converted all drivers to use GPIO machine descriptors, so remove the argument and clean out this. This kind of polarity inversion should be handled by the GPIO descriptor inside the GPIO library if needed. This rids us of one instance of the kludgy calls into the gpiod_get_raw_value() API. The BCM2835 MMC host driver uses a pointer to get from the private bcm2835_host structure to the generic mmc_host structure. However the latter is always immediately preceding the former in memory, so compute its address with a subtraction (which is cheaper than a dereference) and drop the superfluous pointer. The patch enables returning 'type' in msghdr for records that are retrieved with MSG_PEEK in recvmsg. Further it prevents records peeked from socket from getting clubbed with any other record of different type when records are subsequently dequeued from strparser. For each record, we now retain its type in sk_buff's control buffer cb[]. Inside control buffer, record's full length and offset are already stored by strparser in 'struct strp_msg'. We store record type after 'struct strp_msg' inside 'struct tls_msg'. For tls1.2, the type is stored just after record dequeue. For tls1.3, the type is stored after record has been decrypted. Inside process_rx_list(), before processing a non-data record, we check that we must be able to return back the record type to the user application. If not, the decrypted records in tls context's rx_list is left there without consuming any data. 2019-02-24net: phy: marvell10g: add support for the 88x2110 PHYMaxime Chevallier
This patch adds support for the 88x2110 PHY, which is similar to the already supported 88x3310 PHY without the SFP interface. It supports 10/100/1000BASET along with 2.5GBASET, 5GBASET and 10GBASET, with the same interface modes that are used by the 3310. This PHY don't have the same issue as the 88x3310 regarding 2.5/5G abilities, and correctly follows the 802.3bz standard to list the supported abilities.
