2018-02-16staging: unisys: visorinput: remove need for 'depends on FB'Tim Sell
Previously, we used a hack to determine the max x,y resolution of the visor virtual mouse: we just looked at the resolution of the first-registered framebuffer device, using the currently-valid assumption that in a Unisys s-Par guest environment the video will be provided by an efifb framebuffer device. This hack has been removed, by instead determining the default mouse resolution by looking at fields within the visor mouse channel memory, mouse.x_res and mouse.y_res. If these fields are 0, a default resolution of 1024x768 is assumed. 2017-12-08drivers: visorbus: move driver out of stagingDavid Kershner
Move the visorbus driver out of staging (drivers/staging/unisys/visorbus) and to drivers/visorbus. Modify the configuration and makefiles so they now reference the new location. The s-Par header file visorbus.h that is referenced by all s-Par drivers, is being moved into include/linux. 2017-11-28staging: unisys: Remove redundant license textGreg Kroah-Hartman
Now that the SPDX tag is in all unisys driver files, that identifies the license in a specific and legally-defined manner. So the extra GPL text wording can be removed as it is no longer needed at all. This is done on a quest to remove the 700+ different ways that files in the kernel describe the GPL license text. And there's unneeded stuff like the address (sometimes incorrect) for the FSF which is never needed. No copyright headers or other non-license-description text was removed. 2017-11-28staging: unisys: add SPDX identifiers to all unisys driver filesGreg Kroah-Hartman
It's good to have SPDX identifiers in all files to make it easier to audit the kernel tree for correct licenses. Update the drivers/staging/unisys files files with the correct SPDX license identifier based on the license text in the file itself. The SPDX identifier is a legally binding shorthand, which can be used instead of the full boiler plate text. This work is based on a script and data from Thomas Gleixner, Philippe Ombredanne, and Kate Stewart. Ensure we properly lock between visorinput_channel_interrupt(), visorinput_open(), and devdata_create(). 2016-08-15staging: unisys: visorinput: remove unnecessary lockingTim Sell
Locking in the _interrupt() function is NOT necessary so long as we ensure that interrupts have been stopped whenever we need to pause or resume the device, which we now do. While a device is paused, we ensure that interrupts stay disabled, i.e. that the _interrupt() function will NOT be called, yet remember the desired state in devdata->interrupts_enabled if open() or close() are called are called while the device is paused. Then when the device is resumed, we restore the actual state of interrupts (i.e., whether _interrupt() is going to be called or not) to the desired state in devdata->interrupts_enabled.
