* Add a jump target so that a specific error message is stored only once
at the end of this function implementation.
* Replace two calls of the function "dev_err" by goto statements.
* Adjust two condition checks.
This issue was detected by using the Coccinelle software.

Attempt to acquire the APCS IPC through the mailbox framework and fall
back to the old syscon based approach, to allow us to move away from
using the syscon.

SMEM is now mapped write-combine and we can use memcpy to access the
name of the entires.

The valid_entries index should not be incremented until after we have
acquired the pointer to the value, or we will read and write data one
item off.
