2011-09-11[media] vp7045: fix buffer setupFlorian Mickler
dvb_usb_device_init calls the frontend_attach method of this driver which uses vp7045_usb_ob. In order to have a buffer ready in vp7045_usb_op, it has to be allocated before that happens. Luckily we can use the whole private data as the buffer as it gets separately allocated on the heap via kzalloc in dvb_usb_device_init and is thus apt for use via usb_control_msg. This fixes a BUG: unable to handle kernel paging request at 0000000000001e78 reported by Tino Keitel and diagnosed by Dan Carpenter. Remote keytables had different names all over the place. Part of the fault is due to a bad naming when rc subsystem was created, but there were lots of old names that were still here. Use a common standard for everything. 2010-08-02V4L/DVB: dvb-usb: prepare drivers for using rc-coreMauro Carvalho Chehab
This is a big patch, yet trivial. It just move the RC properties to a separate struct, in order to prepare the dvb-usb drivers to use rc-core. There's no change on the behavior of the drivers. With this change, it is possible to have both legacy and rc-core based code inside the dvb-usb-remote, allowing a gradual migration to rc-core, driver per driver. dvb-usb has its own IR handle code. Now that we have a Remote Controller subsystem, we should start using it. So, remove this struct, in favor of the similar struct defined at the RC subsystem. In order to be closer to V4L IR implementation, it is needed to replace u8 custom, data to: u16 scan This allows using non-rc5 mappings, like the 8 bit keycodes used on older protocols. 2008-04-24V4L/DVB (7538): Adds selectable adapter numbers as per module optionJanne Grunau
The adapter_nr module options can be used to allocate static adapter numbers on a driver level. It avoids problems with changing DVB apapter numbers after warm/cold boot or device unplugging and repluging. Each driver holds DVB_MAX_ADAPTER long array of the preferred order of adapter numbers. options dvb-usb-dib0700 adapter_nr=7,6,5,4,3,2,1,0 would result in a reversed allocation of adapter numbers. With adapter_nr=2,5 it tries first to get adapter number 2 and 5. If both are already in use it will allocate the lowest free adapter number.
