2013-04-11tty: serial/samsung: make register definitions globalArnd Bergmann
The registers for the Samsung S3C serial port are currently defined in the platform specific arch/arm/plat-samsung/include/plat/regs-serial.h file, which is not visible to multiplatform capable drivers. Unfortunately, it is not possible to move the file into a more local place as we should normally try to, because the same registers may be used in one of four places: * In the driver itself * In platform-independent ARM code for early debug output * In platform_data definitions * In the Samsung platform power management code I have also found no way to logically split out a platform_data file, other than possibly move everything into include/linux/platform_data, which also felt wrong. The only part of this file that makes sense to keep specific to the s3c24xx platform are the virtual and physical addresses defined here, which are needed in no other location. 2013-04-10ARM: S3C24XX: Fix interrupt pending register offset of the EINT controllerSylwester Nawrocki
The external pending interrupt register address (EINTPEND) offset is 0xa8, not 0x08. Without this patch the external interrupts are not properly acknowledged, which may lead to an interrupt storm and the system hang as soon as any external interrupt is requested. Pull ARM SoC cleanups from Arnd Bergmann: "A large number of cleanups, all over the platforms. This is dominated largely by the Samsung platforms (s3c, s5p, exynos) and a few of the others moving code out of arch/arm into more appropriate subsystems. The clocksource and irqchip drivers are now abstracted to the point where platforms that are already cleaned up do not need to even specify the driver they use, it can all get configured from the device tree as we do for normal device drivers. The clocksource changes basically touch every single platform in the process. We further clean up the use of platform specific header files here, with the goal of turning more of the platforms over to being "multiplatform" enabled, which implies that they cannot expose their headers to architecture independent code any more. It is expected that no functional changes are part of the cleanup. The code to enter sleep is used by both the s3c2412 and s3c2416 and was thus factored out into an extra config option. But it seems it was forgotten to add the appropriate select to the s3c2412 pm option, resulting in breakage when only compiling s3c2412 support. As per the Exynos5250 User Manual: When there are pending interrupt events, WFI/WFE instruction are ignored. To cancel the power-down sequence follow these steps: 1) Disable system power-down using CENTRAL_SEQ_CONFIGURATION register 2) Clear WAKEUP_STAT register 3) Enable interrupt service routine for CPU Code for early wakeup for exynos already exists. Remove the panic on suspend failure, clear the wakeup state register and return 1 from cpu_suspend to indicate a failed suspend (to a user daemon). Older Samsung SoCs have similar panics and I have removed them all. Haven't touched the S3C2410 sleep code.
