2014-11-21Merge git://git.kernel.org/pub/scm/linux/kernel/git/davem/netDavid S. Miller
Conflicts: drivers/net/ieee802154/fakehard.c A bug fix went into 'net' for ieee802154/fakehard.c, which is removed in 'net-next'. Add build fix into the merge from Stephen Rothwell in openvswitch, the logging macros take a new initial 'log' argument, a new call was added in 'net' so when we merge that in here we have to explicitly add the new 'log' arg to it else the build fails. 2014-11-17ARM: shmobile: Add early debugging support using SCIF(A)Geert Uytterhoeven
Add serial port debug macros for the SCIF(A) serial ports. This includes all supported shmobile SoCs, except for EMEV2. The configuration logic (both Kconfig and #ifdef) is more complicated than one would expect, for several reasons: 1. Not all SoCs have the same serial devices, and they're not always at the same addresses. 2. There are two different types: SCIF and SCIFA. Fortunately they can easily be distinguished by physical address. 3. Not all boards use the same serial port for the console. The defaults correspond to the boards that are supported in mainline. If you want to use a different serial port, just change the value of CONFIG_DEBUG_UART_PHYS, and the rest will auto-adapt. 4. debug_ll_io_init() maps the SCIF(A) registers to a fixed virtual address. 0xfdxxxxxx was chosen, as it should lie below VMALLOC_END = 0xff000000, and must not conflict with the 2 MiB reserved region at PCI_IO_VIRT_BASE = 0xfee00000. - On SoCs not using the legacy machine_desc.map_io(), debug_ll_io_init() is called by the ARM core code. - On SoCs using the legacy machine_desc.map_io(), debug_ll_io_init() must be called explicitly. Calls are added for r8a7740, r8a7779, sh7372, and sh73a0. This was derived from the r8a7790 version by Laurent Pinchart. git://git.kernel.org/pub/scm/linux/kernel/git/linville/wireless-next John W. Linville says: ==================== pull request: wireless-next 2014-11-07 Please pull this batch of updates intended for the 3.19 stream! For the mac80211 bits, Johannes says: "This relatively large batch of changes is comprised of the following: * large mac80211-hwsim changes from Ben, Jukka and a bit myself * OCB/WAVE/11p support from Rostislav on behalf of the Czech Technical University in Prague and Volkswagen Group Research * minstrel VHT work from Karl * more CSA work from Luca * WMM admission control support in mac80211 (myself) * various smaller fixes, spelling corrections, and minor API additions" For the Bluetooth bits, Johan says: "Here's the first bluetooth-next pull request for 3.19. The vast majority of patches are for ieee802154 from Alexander Aring with various fixes and cleanups. There are also several LE/SMP fixes as well as improved support for handling LE devices that have lost their pairing information (the patches from Alfonso). Jukka provides a couple of stability fixes for 6lowpan and Szymon conformance fixes for RFCOMM. For the HCI drivers we have one new USB ID for an Acer controller as well as a reset handling fix for H5." For the Atheros bits, Kalle says: "Major changes are: o ethtool support (Ben) o print dev string prefix with debug hex buffers dump (Michal) o debugfs file to read calibration data from the firmware verification purposes (me) o fix fw_stats debugfs file, now results are more reliable (Michal) o firmware crash counters via debugfs (Ben&me) o various tracing points to debug firmware (Rajkumar) o make it possible to provide firmware calibration data via a file (me) And we have quite a lot of smaller fixes and clean up." For the iwlwifi bits, Emmanuel says: "The big new thing here is netdetect which allows the firmware to wake up the platform when a specific network is detected. Along with that I have fixes for d3 operation. The usual amount of rate scaling stuff - we now support STBC. The other commit that stands out is Johannes's work on devcoredump. He basically starts to use the standard infrastructure he built." Along with that are the usual sort of updates and such for ath9k, brcmfmac, wil6210, and a handful of other bits here and there... 2014-11-05ieee802154: remove nl802154 unused functionsAlexander Aring
The include/net/nl802154.h file contains a lot of prototypes which are not used inside of ieee802154 subsystem. This patch removes this file and make the only one used prototype "ieee802154_nl_start_confirm" as static declaration in ieee802154/nl-mac.c Signed-off-by: Alexander Aring <alex.aring@gmail.com> Signed-off-by: Marcel Holtmann <marcel@holtmann.org>

git://git.kernel.org/pub/scm/linux/kernel/git/shawnguo/linux into fixes Merge "ARM: imx: fixes for 3.18, 2nd round" from Shawn Guo: "This is the second round of i.MX fixes for 3.18. The clk-vf610 fix is relatively big, because it needs some adaption to the change made by offending commit dc4805c2e78b (ARM: imx: remove ENABLE and BYPASS bits from clk-pllv3 driver). And it should have been sent to you for earlier -rc inclusion, but unfortunately it got delayed for some time because Stefan wasn't aware of my email address change." The i.MX fixes for 3.18, 2nd round: - Fix a regression on Vybrid platform which is caused by commit dc4805c2e78b (ARM: imx: remove ENABLE and BYPASS bits from clk-pllv3 driver), and results in a missing configuration on PLL clocks. - Fix a regression with i.MX defconfig files where CONFIG_SPI option gets lost accidentally. * tag 'imx-fixes-3.18-2' of git://git.kernel.org/pub/scm/linux/kernel/git/shawnguo/linux: (460 commits) ARM: imx: Fix the removal of CONFIG_SPI option ARM: imx: clk-vf610: define PLL's clock tree + Linux 3.18-rc3 Signed-off-by: Olof Johansson <olof@lixom.net>

git://git.kernel.org/pub/scm/linux/kernel/git/arm/arm-soc Pull ARM SoC fixes from Olof Johansson: "A surprisingly small batch of fixes for -rc3. Suspiciously small, I'd say. Anyway, most of this are a few defconfig updates. Some for omap to deal with kernel binary size (moving ipv6 to module, etc). A larger one for socfpga that refreshes with some churn, but also turns on a few options that makes the newly-added board in my bootfarm usable for testing. OMAP3 will also now warn when booted with legacy (non-DT) boot protocols, hopefully encouraging those who still care about some of those platforms to submit DT support and report bugs where needed. Nothing stops working though, this is just to warn for future deprecation. Beyond this, very few actual bugfixes. A PXA fix for DEBUG_LL boot hangs, a missing terminting entry in a dt_match array on RealView a MTD fix on OMAP with NAND" [ Obviously missed rc3, will make rc4 instead ;) ] * tag 'armsoc-for-rc3' of git://git.kernel.org/pub/scm/linux/kernel/git/arm/arm-soc: MAINTAINERS: drop list entry for davinci ARM: OMAP2+: Warn about deprecated legacy booting mode ARM: omap2plus_defconfig: Fix errors with NAND BCH ARM: multi_v7_defconfig: fix support for APQ8084 soc: versatile: Add terminating entry for realview_soc_of_match ARM: ixp4xx: remove compilation warnings in io.h MAINTAINERS: Add Soren as reviewer for Zynq ARM: omap2plus_defconfig: Fix bloat caused by having ipv6 built-in ARM: socfpga_defconfig: Update defconfig for SoCFPGA ARM: pxa: fix hang on startup with DEBUG_LL
